The 2016 Teen Summer Musical adaptation, Peter Pan, “My Brother’s Keeper” continues its tradition of putting an urban spin on a classic fairy tale. Performed by 100 inner-city youth, it features colorfully written original music and vibrant choreography. This poignantly written adaptation addresses contemporary social challenges while captivating the audience with empowering messages of joy, healing and hope.
Peter Pan is the ultimate “coming of age” and “diamond in the rough” story, except for the fact that Peter refuses to grow up and is adverse to experiencing any kind of pressure. This is a tale that is becoming all too common even among the real world youth of today. The kids rehearsed for months before doing eight performances at the Moore Theatre, Thursday August 25th through Sunday August 28th.
