Two young African American men have been arrested and charged in the shooting of Shiloh Hampton, the 14-year-old Madison High school student who was killed April 18 outside the Lloyd Center. Homicide detectives arrested two suspects: 20-year-old Jimmie Ray Sanders-Garcia (pictured near left) and 21-year-old Edward Mohr (pictured far left). They also served several search warrants.
Both Sanders-Garcia and Mohr were charged with murder, attempted murder and unlawful use of a weapon. They await trial in Multnomah County Detention Center.
Police say more than 100 officers were involved in an investigation that brought together the Detective Division, the Drugs and Vice Division, the Gang Enforcement Team, the officers of North Precinct, and the US Marshals Service Oregon Fugitive Task Force.
